You can upload a new image which will be saved to your documents with the file type = "Product Category Artwork". Note: The "Generic Image" field is currently not used in this release of the engine, but it is recommended you utilize the same image for both the "Category Image" and "Generic Image" for future iterations and releases. Alternate Zip Code is a field used for shipping purposes. If you have certain products shipped from another location, you can enter the zip code of that location here and the system will utilize that zip code for all shipping estimations.

Please ensure you do not use any non-alphanumeric characters in your category title, such as "!", "?" or "*".

The Category Page

The product category page is probably the most complicated page within your website. The main image, category description, free options and pricing mini-grid are all dynamically generated from the information listed in your category detail page.

Category Page - Dynamic Quick Quote

The dynamic quick quote or "instant" quote is a powerful component that utilizes AJAX to populate information and selection options "on-the-fly" as your prospective print buyer narrows down his or her selection of product size, paper type, quantity and ink/sides. The user will then be presented with a "quick quote" that will give the user the basic cost of their selections. The next step for your customer is to click the "Order Now" button, where they will be taken to the full quote page, where they can view all possible options, estimate shipping costs and select their desired turnaround.

What about custom quotes?

Custom quotes is a pretty intelligent feature. Prospective print buyers looking for something very specific or for a product combination that you do not currently offer would utilize this tool to enter their specific information. The custom quote form, allows the print buyer to select either existing selections and/or enter, by typing into a text field, the desired information they wish. The custom quote is then submitted to your control panel where your cpanel administrator can review the quote, adjust any pricing or order specifics and can also determine if they want to add this product to your online catalog, making it available to others. Custom quote replies are sent to the e-mail address of the print buyer, providing them with a link to a unique, dynamically generated page that will allow them to submit the order with the quoted price and specs as you have sent, thus having the order submitted into your system.
